Different Types of Granular Baits: Which Types to Use When & Where?

Granular baits are effective against a variety of pests. Different granular baits are available with a range of active ingredients. There are non-repellent and repellent baits, and these baits are more effective in different situations. It is important to choose the bait that will be most efficient for the services your customers need. To ensure you can provide your customers with effective results, Rockwell Labs offers both non-repellent and repellent baits with different active ingredients to control and prevent a broad spectrum of pests.

InVict-Xpress Granular Bait: Best for Active Infestations

When your customers are dealing with an active infestation, you need a bait that will help you quickly gain control and provide immediate results. InVict Xpress granular bait contains .5% imidacloprid for lightning-fast control of a variety of crawling insects including ants, cockroaches, crickets, mole crickets, silverfish, firebrats, and earwigs. It has a proprietary bait matrix that contains multiple food attractants that insects find irresistible. It is non-repellent so it won’t chase pests away. When foraging, cockroaches, crickets, silverfish, firebrats, and earwigs will find the bait, eat it, and die. Foraging worker ants take the bait back to the nest where the larvae will digest the food and excrete liquid food for the colony. As the ants feed on the liquid food, the colony will die. InVict Xpress has low use rates, saving you money, time, and space.

Where to Use:

  • Perimeter Applications: InVict Xpress can be applied around the perimeter of the structure at a rate of ½-1 oz per 100 sq ft. Using a hand shaker, duster, or mechanical spreader, apply in a band from 1-3 feet wide around the perimeter of buildings.
  • Turf Applications: Apply at a rate of 4-8 oz per 1000 sq ft using a hand shaker or mechanical spreader. Make sure to apply evenly.
  • Sewer Applications: Apply at a rate of 1 oz per 100 sq ft along ledges inside sewers and around manhole covers.
  • Indoor Applications: InVict Xpress can be applied indoors in areas that are inaccessible to children and pets. Apply bait with a hand shaker or duster at a rate of .5 oz per 100 sq ft. It can also be placed in tamper-resistant bait stations.

It is a broad-spectrum bait that controls ants, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, silverfish, millipedes, sowbugs, pillbugs, mole crickets, snails, and slugs. The proprietary bait matrix contains a blend of premium food attractants including protein, carbohydrates, and oils. InTice 10 is weather-resistant and is effective for up to 90 days outdoors, making it ideal for quarterly service programs. It lasts up to one year or more indoors in attics and crawlspaces.
